Lovell tea party serves up £205 for breast cancer charity
An afternoon tea hosted and organised by Cardiff partnership housing developer Lovell raised £205 for cancer support charity Breast Cancer Care.
Staff from Lovell teamed up with colleagues from sister firm construction specialists Morgan Sindall and engineering and construction company Costain to tuck into home-baked cakes – including scones, cupcakes and sponges – and enjoy a cuppa. All three companies are based at the Greenmeadow Springs business park, Tongwynlais.
“The tea party was a great chance to get together, enjoy some lovely food and raise money for Breast Cancer Care,” says Lovell marketing co-ordinator Kelly Jones. “We were all keen to get involved with lots of staff members baking specially for the event and everyone enthusiastic about supporting the charity’s work.”
The money raised will help Breast Cancer Care provide care, information and support to people affected by breast cancer and campaign for improved standards of care.
